When do the kits ship?

Subscriptions ship on the 1st or 15th of each month, depending on when you order. If you order between the 1st and 14th of the month, they ship on the 15th. If you order the 15th thru the end of the month, they ship on the 1st. Single kits ship within 3-7 business days.

What is the ideal age for kids to learn to sew?

Teaching young kids to sew might seem daunting, but if you’re already thinking about it, they might be ready! Every teensy human is different, but many people start teaching their kids around age 5 or 6, sometimes earlier if they’re particularly coordinated or creative. My daughter sewed her first creation at age three—imagine what your grandkids could do if given the chance!

Is sewing appropriate for boys, too?

Yes! All kids can and should learn to sew, and our monsters are bright, fun, and geared for all genders. Plenty of boys have already learned to sew through making our monsters!

Is it safe for young children to learn to sew?

With your supervision, absolutely? Our Monster Make kits include embroidery needles, which are larger and easier to use for small hands, as well as thimbles to protect teensy fingers.

Can I send kits as a gift?

Of course! We offer gift cards that are perfect for gifts, or you can send a kit directly. Just specify the correct shipping location during checkout.

Do I have to have a subscription or can I buy a single kit?

The Monster Makes and Foodie kits are currently available only as a subscription, but you can cancel your subscription anytime, in just a few clicks.
